A good design is not created in a moment of inspiration, it is an iterative process of building, refining, and collaborating with your end user. To create a great design you must first answer the 5w's (who, where, what, when, and why) before getting to the how! I believe a good design is an effort of collaborative teamwork, research, a deep understanding of the goal, and great communication.
